NAPOLEON ( 2023) is a multitude of dots that do not connect. A product of Ridley Scott’s sometime ago well respected on-schedule-within-the- budget Movie Manager’s sharp and now disintegrating mind, the one that never – even in its youth – possessed brilliance of thought or vision, but at some point, back in the late ’70s – with enough hunger and lucidity to help conjure into existence ALIEN and BLADE RUNNER. What followed in the wake of the 1982 cult miracle and until now was a continuous decline towards the tautological climax of the unpardonable idiocy of NAPOLEON, the movie.
